On Tuesday 14 January 2014 in central London, 500 delegates will attend the China-Britain Business Council’s (CBBC) annual conference. Endorsed by the Prime Minister, this sold-out conference will look at China in Transformation and Opportunities for Britain.

The China Business Conference 2014 is extremely timely. With increased UK-China trade and investment, renewed ministerial visits and recent CCP meetings in Beijing, there is much to discuss and be updated on at the China Business Conference 2014.

Key sessions at the full day conference will look at China in Transformation, Opportunities for Britain, The Emergence of the Chinese Consumer, China’s Industrial Transformation and China Outbound.

Lord Sassoon, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council remarked:

“Fantastic opportunities are out there for UK companies across the board. The China Business Conference brings the most relevant speakers and content to all those interested in UK-China business. There is no comparable event in the UK to do that.”

Stephen Phillips, Chief Executive of China-Britain Business Council added:

“UK companies must get up to speed and stay informed about the fast-changing China market or miss the boat. We have strong competitors from other countries as well as from China. The UK offers Chinese companies fantastic advantages. Our services and advanced manufacturing lead their respective fields globally. But we can’t be complacent. There is phenomenal competition globally for Chinese investment. We have to stay informed, competitive and ahead of the competition.”

Lord Sassoon, Chairman of the China-Britain Business Council also commented on the work and development of CBBC: “The last year has been extremely important for CBBC and for UK-China trade and investment. CBBC played an important role in a succession of ministerial visits and we now aim to build on this momentum to maximise the potential of UK-China business in 2014. CBBC is gearing itself up to provide significantly increased support to UK and Chinese businesses. We will deepen our partnership with UKTI and expand our team in China and the UK over the coming months.”
