Chinese police seize Myanmar drug trafficker

Police in southwest China’s Yunnan Province announced Monday that they have detained a drug trafficker from Myanmar and confiscated 14.9 kilograms of heroin.

The suspect was caught carrying 29 packages of heroin while crossing the China-Myanmar border in Gengma county in the city of Lincang at 11:35 p.m. on Sunday, a spokesman with the Lincang Public Security Bureau said.
