Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Thursday that they “strongly urge the DPRK government to refrain from further actions that would escalate tensions and work with the international community to preserve peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula”.
The statement was released in response to media queries on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK)’s rocket launch on Wednesday.
It said the launch was “a violation of United Nations Security Council resolutions.”
“We deeply regret this defiance of the concerns of the international community. This does not serve the best interests of the people of the DPRK,” the ministry said in a statement.
