Chongqing: Export tops 35.78 bln US dollars

The import and export value of Chongqing from January to November 2012 topped 49.08 billion US dollars, increasing by 92.8% year on year, with the growth ranking 2nd in China. The total export amount hit 35.78 billion US dollars, ranking 1st in west and central China and 10th of the whole nation, according to Chongqing Customs on December 12, 2012.

The export of mechanical and electrical products during this period realized 23.55 billion US dollars, rising by 110% year on year and accounting for 65.8% of the total. The quantity of exported laptops reached 31.836 million, growing by 140% year on year, worthy of 11.21 billion US dollars, increasing by 160% as compared with the same period of 2011.

What’s more, the quantity of imported integrate circuits and automatic data processing equipments (ADPE) and parts during the first 11 months reached 3.66 billion and 1.5 billion US dollars respectively, with the year-on-year rising of 130% and 220%.
