Chongqing Integrated Economic Research Institute published the Chongqing Municipal Economic Situation Analysis 2012 and Prospect in 2013 on December 12, 2012. It is anticipated that the economic growth of Chongqing in 2012 could be 13.9% or so, and that of 2013 will top 14%.
Influenced by global sluggish and national decreasing in economy, Chongqing suffered unprecedented pressure from 2012 on. The GDP produced by Chongqing increased by 13.8% in the first 9 months of 2012 lower than 16.4% in 2011. Due to the deceleration of economic growth, the amplification of urban-rural resident income of this year also decreased.
The world and domestic economic situation will not be optimistic, while Chongqing is still boosting industrialization and urbanization. Fortunately, it’s hopeful that Chongqing still boasts powerful motivation and potential.
