Siemens to enhance cooperation with Chongqing

Siemens China realized the operation and avenue amount of 6.35 billion euro, setting the 2nd highest record of operation and avenue amount since Siemens entered Chinese market, according to the Annual Financial Report Meeting 2012 of Siemens on December 11, 2012.

Cheng Meiwei, president and CEO of Siemens China, said that Siemens has cooperated with numbers of Chinese cities including Chongqing in traffic, logistics, power supply, energy saving, etc. For instance, the Line 1 and 6 of Chongqing’s light rail are equipped with the Train Signal Control System and other devices provided by Siemens.

Besides, Cheng is willing to keep providing service to Chongqing’s economic development, and Chongqing is an important market site of Siemens in west and middle China. Siemens is providing the energy equipment supply to the major projects under construction, such as Chongqing International Expo Center, light rail network in Chongqing, etc., and will strengthen the cooperation in the construction of traffic infrastructure, building energy saving, etc.
