UNESCO experts inspect Jinfo Mountains, Chongqing

The International Karst Inspection Team with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) visited and inspected Chongqing Jinfo Mountains Scenic Area days ago.

The 28 scientists from 12 countries including the United States, Great Britain and Romania also carried out academic research and discussion on the geological evolution, biological diversity and karst landform in the Jinfo Mountains.

Experts believe that the Jinfo Mountains is highly valuable both for the natural scenery and the humanistic history. Thus they will positively help Chongqing Jinfo Mountains to apply for the World Natural Heritage.
