The China Council for The Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Hunan Sub-council inaugurated the province’s first legal consulting and complaint center for international business affairs in Changsha on December 4, 2012. Dong Songgen, deputy president of CCPIT,attended the nameplate-unveiling ceremony.
This center will serve as a bridge between government and enterprises by providing legal consultation and handling complaints arising from international trade disputes.
The organization will also be responsible for submitting legislative proposals to the government on behalf of the business community and pressing international trade entities to fulfill contracts. In addition, the institution will offer international business law legal training services to enterprises and aims to promote exchange and cooperation with overseas business legal institutions.
Mr. Dong expressed his hope that the center will fulfil the CCPIT’s commitment to “sharing the government’s troubles and assisting enterprises through their difficulties”. He urged the institution to join the government in practically removing the obstacles hindering the success of enterprise dealings.
He also encouraged the organization to become a pace-setter in legal services for overseas business affairs by making full use of its own advantages and the strength of the CCPIT network in a bid to provide quality services for those Hunan-based enterprises with interest in expanding into overseas markets.
