Two expressways to be put into construction in Chongqing

Tongliang-Yongchuan and Jiangjin-Qijiang expressways, the key parts of Chongqing’s “Three Rings and Ten Expressways” Project, will be put into construction at the end of 2012.

Tongliang-Yongchuan Expressway, with a total length of 65.54 kilometers, starts from west Tongliang County and ends in Shuangshi Interchange of the third ring expressway, via Tuqiao of Tongliang, Yongxi and Longshui of Dazu District, Sanjiao of Yongchuan District, etc.

Jiangjin-Qijiang Expressway, with a total length of 47.68 kilometers, starts from Jiangjin Interchange of Jiangjin-Hejiang Expressway and ends in south Qijiang County, via Jinquan and Xiaba of Jiangjin District, Beidu of Qijiang, etc.

It is estimated that the two above-mentioned expressways will be completed in 2015.

The “Three Rings and Ten Expressways” Project, with some 475 kilometers in length, is expected to be fully completed at the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan period.
