Yuwan Railway (Chongqing-Wanzhou) to start construction in Dec.

The railway linking Chongqing and Wanzhou, being planned to be completed in 2016 and take passengers from Chongqing to Wanzhou in one hour, will start construction in December, according to the summarizing and commending meeting of the phase II of “100-day Battle” in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area on November 7.

The 248-km-long Chongqing-Wanzhou Railway is designed to run at a speed of 250 km/hour via Chongqing North Railway Station, Fusheng, Changshou North Railway Station, Changshou Lake, Dianjiang County, Liangping South Railway Station, Wanzhou, etc., according to the approval from The Ministry of Railways of PRC.

After completion, the train could take passengers from Dianjiang County to urban Chongqing in 30 minutes.
