Chongqing Finance Bureau plans to subsidize pilot areas in Wuling Mountain and Qinba Mountain in Chongqing with 72 million yuan in 2012, according to the Bureau on November 6.
To optimally allocate the fund, experts from several departments carried out an open view of pilot areas on Wuling Mountain and a small area on Qinba Mountain in 18 districts and counties under poverty alleviation through development. Districts and counties including Wulong, Nanchuan, Pengshui, Youyang, Fuling, Wuxi, Yunyang, Wushan and Kai County are rated as level I to get 4.2 million yuan respectively as subsidy; Qianjiang, Shizhu, Fengdu, Chengkou, Fengjie, Zhong County, Tongnan, Wanzhou and Xiushan are rated as level II to get 3.8 million yuan respectively as subsidy.
According to the planning, the pilot areas on Wuling Mountain and a small area on Qinba Mountain will benefit 398,000 households including 1.31 million persons in the 18 districts and counties (including autonomous counties), increasing the income of 195,000 needy locals.
