The Center China Bureau of State Electricity Regulatory Commission of China revealed the basic information about thermal power allocation, process of energy conservation and emission reduction, energy consumption and emission reduction of Chongqing, Hubei and Jiangxi in January-September 2012.
According to the revealed, coal consumption for power supply, station service power consumption rate and the discharge of sulfur dioxide and nitric oxides in Chongqing show a steady downtrend in January-September 2012.
Chongqing has purchased 12.038 billion KWH of electricity from other provinces and regions in January-September 2012 with a year-on-year growth of 7.35%, saving 3.97 million tons of standard coal consumption. Chongqing has purchased 4.403 billion KWH of hydroelectricity from Sichuan Province, saving 1.46 million tons of standard coal and avoiding pollution of 83,800 tons of SO2.
