GDP growth of Liangjiang New Area leads Chongqing

In January-September 2012, GDP of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area hits 114.106 billion yuan with a year-on-year growth of 20.6%, according to the Area on November 1, 2012.

In the first three quarters of 2012, the gross output value of Liangjiang New Area reaches 219.981 billion yuan with a growth rate of 33.1%. The rapidly developing industries, involving electronic information, auto and rail equipment, have become a leader in sustainable economic development in the Area.

In the meanwhile, the Area embraces a significant increase in domestic demand and trade scale, involving a growth of 34% in goods sale which is nearly 4 percent points more than that of the first half of 2012.

Besides, the foreign trade in Liangjiang New Area enjoys a sharp increase in the first three quarters with its imports and exports growth of more than three times. The total foreign trade amount of the Area has exceeded the sum of that of 2010 and 2011, almost achieving the annual goal.
