Hunan Association of Victoria (HAV) celebrated its 10th Anniversary on the evening of October 28. Over 300 persons attended the celebration, including members from the HAV, representatives of overseas Chinese in Victoria and state & city councilors. Shi Weiqiang, Consul-General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne, Australia was invited to the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Mr. Shi stated that in the past 10 years, the HAV has actively promoted the talent exchange and cultural communication between Hunan and Victoria and made great contributions to serving overseas Hunanese in Australia, spreading Chinese culture and promoting the multicultural society of Victoria.
In her speech at the ceremony, Director of the HAV Li Jianhuang reviewed the development process of the HAV and “The Voice of Spring” Troupe and appreciated the great support from Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne and all sectors of the community. She vowed to spare no effort to improve the HAV and the troupe to a higher level.
