Among the 9.149 million migrant workers, 5.048 million workers choose to work in Chongqing.
Chongqing’s economy has been developing rapidly recent years. In 2011, the city’s GDP hit 1 trillion yuan with the growth rate ranking first in China while its general financial revenue reached 290.8 billion yuan, offering a large number of jobs to migrant workers.
