Delegation of Australia and New Zealand Chinese Visits Changsha

On the evening of October 29, Li Youzhi, vice governor of Hunan Province, met in Changsha with the visiting delegation composed of Australian and Zelanian Chinese led by the senator of Western Australia Dai Honghui.

The delegation consists of 12 overseas Chinese participating in government and political affairs, including the senators at state and city level and mayors from Australia and New Zealand. They visit Changsha from October 28 to November 1, at the invitation of the Chinese Overseas Exchange Association.

This visit aims to deepen the further understanding about Hunan of the overseas Chinese participating in government and political affairs in Australia and New Zealand, and promote mutual cooperation, exchanges and friendly relationship. During their stay in Hunan, they visited such places of interest as Shaoshan Mountain and Yuelu Academy. They also had a discussion with Zhangjiajie Municipal Government on how to develop and give full play to the minority nationality cadres.
