The 2012 China (Changsha) Science and Technology Achievements Realization Fair (2012 CSTARF) wrapped up its two-day display on the afternoon of October 30. After series of matchmaking discussions, a total of 230 scientific and technological cooperation projects involving about 14.79 billion yuan were signed at the fair. Another 60 projects under in-depth discussion are expected to reach agreements after the fair.
In October, CSTARF has provoked a craze for science and technology in Changsha. Around 5,000 participants attended the fair. They are leaders, scholars and experts from over 100 universities and scientific research institutions, such as Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University and Peking University, and representatives from nearly 1,800 high-tech enterprises, listed companies, science and technology intermediary organs and investing and financing institutions. It is estimated over 50,000 visitors would attend the fair in total.
A total of 10,806 transformable science and technology achievements, 427 technological requirements and 244 investing and financing requirements were collected at the fair. During the exhibition, 18 match-making conferences on science and technology achievements, investment promotion and experience exchange were organized to solve over 90 technical problems.
