For the first time, New Zealand Defense Force health personnel have joined their counterparts from China’s People’s Liberation Army and the Australian Defense Force to build links around humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
7 New Zealand personnel are taking part in Exercise Cooperation Spirit 2012. The drill, which is being held from October the 29th to November the first, is being hosted by the Australian Defense Force in the Australian coastal city of Brisbane. Senior National Officer Chris Mitchell of the New Zealand Army says the drill will help enhance relationships and mutual understanding and awareness of health response capabilities between the three countries.
