The total business revenue of Chongqing’s software industry reached 55.9 billion yuan in the first nine months of 2012, up more than 40 percent year on year, according to the date released by Chongqing Economy and Informatization Commission on October 28, 2012.
The rapid growth of Chongqing’s software industry is bound up with the development situation of the country’s software industry. It is estimated that China’s software industry is to realize an output value of 2.4 trillion yuan in 2012, up 25-30 percent year on year.
Chongqing plans to initiate several activities including software outsourcing talents training, construction of industrial park for e-businessmen, cross-border trade and e-commerce pilot project under the central government’s policy, etc., in order to promote the development of its software and information service industries.
