Chongqing’s foreign trade up 15 times

The foreign trade in Chongqing remained a stable growth despite the slowdown of China’s foreign trade and the global economy. The total amount of import and export in Chongqing has increased by 15 times in the past decade, according to Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Commission on October 24, 2012.

Chongqing kept expanding its foreign trade since 2002 with an annual growth rate of 153%. Its import-export value exceeded 10 billion USD, 20 billion USD successively in the past years and now the amount stood at 40 billion USD from January to September 2012.

The largest trade partner of Chongqing now is EU, followed by ASEAN and America in 2011.

This city exports products to over 200 countries and regions.
