China’s import and export figures rise in September

The General Administration of Customs has released China’s import and export figures for September.

Official data showed China’s exports rose almost ten percent year on year to more than 186 billion US dollars in September. Imports ended three months of consecutive drops, up 2.4 percent to almost 159 billion U.S. dollars.

Meanwhile, during the period from January to September this year, China’s total foreign trade expanded 6.2 percent year on year to 2.84 trillion US dollars, with a trade surplus reaching 148 billion U.S. dollars.
