Bernhard Jucker, executive vice president of the ABB Group, will attend the seventh session of Chongqing Mayor’s International Economic Advisory Council（CMIA）and provide advice for Chongqing enterprises over how to manage risk when investing abroad, according to ABB Chongqing Transformer Co., Ltd. on Thursday.
The ABB Group is a global leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact.
It reportedly considers Chongqing as its investment focus in China by setting two branches there with more than 1,100 employees.
The topic, Encouraging High-tech Companies to Develop New Technologies and New Business Patterns for Information Industry, which ABB analyzed thoroughly during the sixth session of CMIA last year, has a strategic significance for Chongqing to guarantee the power supply, promote urban environment and people’s life qualities.
This year, ABB will center on Localization Strategy of Overseas Investment and provide advice for Chongqing enterprises to invest abroad.
It thinks that overseas investment matters not only on capital, but also on many other aspects, such as the acquaintance with local culture and legal environment as well as how to choose the right market, etc.
