The 16th China Chongqing Metro Tourism Festival & the 4th China Chongqing Intercity Tourism Trade Fair will be held from September 7 to October 7, according to Chongqing Tourism Administration on September 4.
The event is held by Chongqing Tourism Administration and co-held by China Intercity Tourism Union and 8 district governments of urban Chongqing, said Qin Dingbo, deputy director of Chongqing Tourism Administration.
It is aimed at promoting the combination of urban tourism and related industries, attracting tourism enterprises to participate in, inviting tourists from home and abroad to Chongqing and accelerating the construction of urban tourist circles, he added.
The event will set the main venue in Yuzhong District and 8 affiliated venues in districts like Dadukou and Jiangbei.
An estimated 900 people from China’s 17 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities will attend the event, hitting a new high.
