Singapore enterprises to invest in Chongqing

Twelve enterprises led by International Enterprise Singapore came to Chongqing for cooperation on August 7, 2012.

After negotiaton, several Singapore enterprises had a mind to invest in Chongqing, such as Singapore Chaocheng Holding Limited, which planned to support Chongqing IT industries, and Asia Re-guarantee & Investment Holding Limited, which intended to insure the quality of Chongqing hot pot ingredients.

These Singapore enterprises, having their own transnational companies, came to Chongqing for business opportunities and new cooperation, according to Zhang Yongchang, director of International Enterprise Singapore.

Beyond that, Singex Group said they would like to co-hold expo and share international expo information resources with Chongqing International Expo Center, which was planned to be completed by the end of 2012.

Singapore is one of Chongqing’s economic and trade cooperation partners. Eight foreign enterprises of Singapore were approved to invest in Chongqing, with a contracted foreign investment of 532 million U.S. dollars and an actual used foreign investment of 570 million U.S. dollars in the first half of 2012.
