Chongqing Liangjiang New Area pilots low-altitude flight

Relevant deparments have approved to pilot the administration reform of low-altitude airspace in Chongqing’s flight control zone, according to the Administrative Committee of Chongqing Liangjiang New Area on July 16, 2012.

Low altitude airspace refers to airspace below 1,000 meters, which is the main space for general aviation.

An aviation industry park of eight square kilometers has been planned in Liangjiang New Area long before, involving general aviation aircraft manufacture enterprises and training agencies. Pilatus Aircraft Co., Ltd. of Switzerland, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of single-wing aircrafts, has also settled in the aviation industry park in Liangjiang New Area.
