Chongqing’s over 2,740 projects for the construction of National Environmental Protection Demonstration City have been completed, and Chongqing has met all the standards of 26 related indicators by now.
In order to build a national environmental protection demonstration city, Chongqing has in recent years carried out 8 batches of projects, i.e. more than 2,740 projects, involving environmental-friendly development, air quality, water environment quality, infrastructure construction, enterprises’ environmental protection and public satisfaction promotion and has achieved significant results.
At present, the awareness rate of Chongqing’s urban citizens concerning construction of the model city is up to 90.1% and the degree of satisfaction with environmental protection hits 81.04%.
