The feasibility research report of Wanzhou-Lichuan Expressway connecting Chongqing and Hubei Province (Chongqing section) and Nanchuan-Daozhen Expressway connecting Chongqing and Guizhou Province (Chongqing section) has been approved by Chongqing Development and Reform Commission, and it is expected to be completed during the 12th Year-Plan period, according to Chongqing Transportation Commission on July 12, 2012.
It is introduced that the Wanzhou-Lichuan Expressway (Chongqing section) has a length of 51.9 kilometers and an estimated total investment of 7.588 billion yuan, while the Nanchuan-Daozhen Expressway (Chongqing section) has a length of 32.9 kilometers and an estimated investment of 4.061 billion yuan. Both the projects are two-way and four-lane with a designed driving speed of 80 km/h and the roadbed width of 24.5 meters.
The Wanzhou-Lichuan Expressway is the important channel connecting Chongqing and Hubei Province, while the Nanchuan-Daozhen Expressway significantly connects Chongqing and Guizhou Province. It greatly contributes to completing the road network structure and boosting the economic society development of the areas.
