Rapid growth of Chongqing’s foreign trade

Chongqing’s total import and export value exceeded 25.04 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2012, 1.7 times more than that in the last year, keeping the fastest growth rate in China, according to Chongqing Customs Administration.

Private enterprises realized a total import and export value of 11.88 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2012, accounting for 47.5 percent of Chongqing’s total.

Besides, the Chongqing-made laptops remained rapid growth rate in the first six months. A total of 17.612 million units, valuing at 6.04 billion U.S. dollars, have been exported.
