Torrential rainfall affects people’s life in Northwest China

A newly-repaired road linking Xixiang and Zhenba counties, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province. Torrential rainfall hit the county since Saturday morning. A total of 45,000 people and 2,333 hectares of farmland were affected. The direct economic losses reached 220 million RMB yuan (about 34.56 million U.S. dollars).
