The New York Times to publish its Chinese edition on cn.nytimes.com

The old gray lady to publish its content in Chinese language, the leading media group The New York Times has set up a subdomain “cn.nytimes.com” for its Chinese edition and opened an account on Weibo.com .

The new website will be hosted in Hongkong, which means it bypasses the regulations of press and publications in mainland China, while it also faces the risk of been censored or completely blocked by the Chinese government.

Earlier this year the group announced its Chinese edition of the Science Times on www.nytschina.com , which has been offline for over ten days. the website nytschina.com is hosted in mainland China.
