Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao held talks in Buenos Aires with Argentine President Cristina on June 25. Premier Wen said that China is ready to work with Argentina to enhance mutual political trust, China supports Argentina’s claim to sovereignty over the Malvinas Islands.
Wen Jiabao said China is implementing the 12th Five-Year Plan, Argentina has developed a 2020 development strategy, a bilateral cooperation will bring the great potential for both countries.
The two sides decided to launch a joint action plan between the two governments for the development of bilateral relations.
Christina said Argentina is willing to learn from China’s development experience, strengthen strategic communication with China and expand the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields such as economic, trade, agriculture, infrastructure construction, energy, hydropower, transportation and mineral resources. Argentina welcomes Chinese enterprises to expand investment in Argentina and actively participate in large-scale construction projects.
