The three Fortune 500 enterprises Sinopec Sichuan Vinylon Works Group, SK and BP signed an agreement to build a world-class BDO-Acetic integrated project in Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone in Chongqing with an investment of about 7 billion yuan, according to Changshou District, Chongqing on June 4, 2012.
The signing of the agreement means another world-class high-end industry will emerge in Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone (长寿经济技术开发区) in the next 2 to 3 years, laying a solid foundation for the building of world-class Natural Gas Chemical Factory and R&D Base.
Changshou Economic and Technological Development Zone was approved to be set up with a planning area of 80 square kilometers on November 11, 2010. The zone realized industrial output value of 58 billion yuan in 2011 and will strive to achieve industrial output value of 500 billion yuan and build it a 500-billion-yuan-level international famous development zone and national top development zone in China by 2020.
