June 4th: the date is blowing in wind

A possible conspiracy? On Monday the Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index has lost 64.89 points – in other words, June 4th 1989 – marking the 23rd anniversary of the Tiananmen Incident.

Monday, the censors did their best to prevent any online discussion on the tragedy. On social networks, any search terms containing June 4th, 23rd anniversary or the word “candle” was blocked.

The index of Shanghai Stock Exchange opened in the morning at 2,346.98 points, which also indicated the 23rd anniversary of June 4 (4/6), 1989 – after reversing the last two digits.
