A dozen Spanish companies have signed trade agreements worth 500 million euros with China at the Palace of Moncloa. The signing ceremony took place after the meeting between the Prime Minister of Spain, Mariano Rajoy, and the president of the National People’s Congress of China, Wu Bangguo during Mr.Wu’s visit to Spain.
During the meeting, Rajoy thanked the purchase of debt by China in recent months, while the Chinese delegation has expressed China’s will to proceed with the purchase, as they are committed to support the euro and European Union, reported Spanish government sources.
The Prime Minister intends to make an official visit to China as soon as possible, but no sooner than the transition of Chinese authorities until March 2013.
Before that time, Prime Minister Rajoy will have opportunity to meet Chinese President Hu Jintao at the G20 summit in Los Cabos, Mexico in mid June.
