China urges North Korea to cancel the scheduled nuclear tests

The Chinese authorities are trying to persuade North Korea to cancel the scheduled nuclear tests. Discussion of this issue was held today between the two countries behind closed doors.

Chinese leaders believe that North Korea nuclear test may cause damage to the environment in the Changbai Mountains, straddling the border between the two countries, as well as leading to the spread of radiation.
