According to the announcement from Telecommunication Technology Lab of Telecommunication Research Institute, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of china has banned Google applications and its logo on new manufactured mobile devices (including mobile phones and PDA).
The new regulation starts from May 3, 2012. Google Search, Google Bookmarks and Browser are on the list of banned products. Manufacturers who do not carry out the new regulations will fail the administrative approval.
Update:
The website of the Shenzhen Company which released the notice has been shut down. Telecommunication Technology Lab of Telecommunication Research Institute has denied the release of this notification. “Our laboratory didn’t issue this notice, we haven’t received any relevant requirements from administrative department.”
