Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang arrived in Moscow on Thursday for an official visit that will include meetings with Russia’s top leaders.
Li was expected to meet Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Prime Minister and president-elect Vladimir Putin, and Chairman of State Duma Sergei Naryshkin.
Li will also have extensive contact with Russians from various walks of life, give an address at Moscow State University and attend a meeting on bilateral trade and investment.
The vice premier will also visit the central Russian city of Kazan and meet with local leaders of the Volga Federal District.
Russia is the first leg of Li’s trip, which will also take him to Hungary, Belgium and the EU headquarters in Brussels.
