The added value of the above-scale industries in Chongqing increased at a rate of 16.1% in January and February 2012, 4.7 percentage points higher than the national average level. It reflects that the industry enjoys stable development as a whole.
According to statistics, the completed gross output value of the above-scale industries in Chongqing reached 169.557 billion yuan in January and February 2012 , an increase of 18.9%, of which the manufacturing industry of electronic equipment including computers and communication, centered on the laptop processing, enjoyed robust growth.
The industry achieved a total output of 19.314 billion yuan in January and February 2012, up 298.7% year on year. It boosts an increase of 9.5% in the gross output of Chongqing, with the proportion in Chongqing’s gross output up to 11.4% from the original 6.9% in 2011.
It further promotes its importance as a pillar industry and plays a positive role in the economic development of Chongqing.
