Seattle Week started in Chongqing

The Seattle Week, a significant exchange activity for the 30th anniversary of Chongqing’s sister-city relationship with American Seattle, was started in the Garden Expo, Chongqing on March 22, 2012.

During the Seattle Week, the delegation of Seattle government exchanged in depth with Chongqing Municipal People’s Government in low-carbon buildings, gardens and education, etc. Both sides sought for cooperation chances.

Mike Mackay expressed that Seattle had done further researches and practices on low-carbon building planning, construction and operation management and also had accumulated some experience.

Chongqing is in the process of urbanization, thus the two sides have a wide range of cooperations in low-carbon building technology. Both cities wish for further cooperation and mutual benefit.
