Zhang Dejiang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, vice premier of the State Council and secretary of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, met Acer chairman Wang Zhentang and his delegation which were to attend China (Chongqing) International Cloud Computing Expo on March 21, 2012.
Zhang said Acer is a world famous electronic information enterprise, and its development in Chongqing will boost the progress of Chongqing’s electronic information industry, as well as the construction of the world’s largest laptop production base in Chongqing.
Zhang also indicated the enhancement of economic and trade cooperation between Chongqing and Taiwan is an important work for Chongqing’s reform and opening-up. During the significant development period, Chongqing will warmly welcome foreign and domestic enterprises, including Taiwan companies, for investment and breaking new ground, as well as sharing the development opportunity of Chongqing.
Wang said Acer values highly the construction of Chongqing base. The project is under smooth processing with the support of the CPC Chongqing Committee and Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. Vice Premier Zhang’s words have strengthened his confidence in developing in Chongqing. And Acer will invest more in Chongqing for mutual benefit.
