Under the approval of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China and the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA), the National Robot-Assisted Heart Operation Training Base and the PLA Robot-Assisted Surgery Training Base were officially established at the PLA General Hospital on February 18, 2012.
Meanwhile, the International Da Vinci Robot-Assisted Surgery Training Base and the Asian Robot-Assisted Surgery Association were also inaugurated at this hospital.
The establishment of the three major training bases and the Asian Robot-Assisted Surgery Association will promote the rapid and healthy development of robot-assisted minimally invasive surgery in China for the benefits of more global patients.
