Chongqing International Expo Center to have 1st show in Oct.

It is reported that 45% of Chongqing International Expo Center (CQEXPO) has been completed since it started in July 2010, with the civil engineering finished and steel structure work in the process.

CQEXPO, the key municipal project located in Yuelai, Liangjiang New Area, with the investment of 7.2 billion yuan and an area of 600,000 square meters, is the largest exposition center in the west and second largest nationwide. It has 16 outdoor international-standard exhibition halls.

Now there are 19 construction entities, more than 7,000 workers, gathering together to ensure CQEXPO’s completion in August as well as its first show in October. From 2013, CQEXPO will undertake exhibition of above 1.2 million square meters. By 2015, it will hold exhibitions of more than 2 million square meters, becoming one of the top ten in the world.
