The number of SMEs in Chongqing reached 269,000 by the end of 2011, 76,000 more than 2010. SMEs in Chongqing has achieved added value of 352 billion yuan and provided 4.841 million jobs, playing an essential role in urban & rural harmonious development and narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor.
However, SMEs in Chongqing are still confronted with financing difficulty, great pressure in industrial reconstruction, labor difficulty, land difficulty, etc. Chongqing will carry out industrial reconstruction, Development Project of 10,000 SMEs and talent thriving enterprises strategy and tend to make SMEs professional, excellent, special and creative enterprises.
