“Made-in-Chongqing” maritime surveillance ship to debut

A construction contract of building 600-ton maritime surveillance ship was signed between Chongqing Chuandong Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation (Chuandong) and the Fishery Law Enforcement Brigade of Ningbo Ocean & Fishery Bureau in Zhejiang Province on February 10, 2012. It symbolizes that the shipbuilding industry in Chongqing starts to have a hand in the construction of public vessels in China.

The shipbuilding industry of Chongqing has been committed to the R&D and building of special ships. Chongqing enjoys advanced technology in building stainless steel chemical carrier below 10,000 tons in China. Many shipbuilding companies including Chuandong and Chang Jiang Shipping Group Phoenix Co., Ltd. have been certified by the Classification Society in U.S., Germany, etc. And their products have been put into market in more than 20 provinces and cities and been exported to Japan, Norway, etc.
