The Chengdu-Kaohsiung direct flight, operated by Taiwan-based Far Eastern Air Transport (FAT远东航空), is the first line linking southwestern China and the south of Taiwan province.
The direct flight number FE188 between Chengdu and Kaohsiung took off from Chengdu at 6:35 p.m. , arrived in Kaohsiung on the same day at 9:25 p.m. The entire flight took 2 hours 50 minutes; flight number FE181 from Kaohsiung to Chengdu took off at 14:05 and arrived in Chengdu at 17:35.
One flight a week is scheduled currently between the two cities and FAT plans two flights a week in the near future. Round-trip ticket fare is about 2400 yuan per person (excluding tax).
