Seven Ukrainian citizens have returned from China where they were stranded by the employer without pay, announced the speaker of Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Alexander Dikusarov during a briefing.
“January 24th, with the assistance from the Consulate of Ukraine in Shanghai, seven Ukrainian citizens flew from China at 11:30 am local time, and they will be back to Kiev,” said Dikusarov.
He recalled that the Foreign Ministry was informed of the presence of 13 Ukrainian citizens in China, who complained that their employer asked them to perform concerts as a group, but didn’t pay wages or provide appropriate place to live. According Dikusarov, with the assistance from the Consulate of Ukraine in Shanghai, seven of them have come back to Ukraine, but the others remained in China trying to find new job.
