Border Delineation between China and Tajikistan Completed

Border Delineation between China and Tajikistan has completed, 1158 square kilometers of land returned to China.

September 20, Chinese border guards and representatives from the Republic of Tajikistan held the ceremony at boundary pillar No. 75 on newly demarcated borders.

At 13:00, staff from two countries met on the newly demarcated borders to participate the ceremony in accordance with agreed plans.

“On the long boundary line, the territorial dispute no longer exists, this represents the good will of peace-loving people in both countries.” Said Lufeng Bin, the Chief of Staff in Kashi, Xinjiang.

According to the demarcation protocol signed by the government of Tajikistan and China on April 27, 2010, 1158 square kilometers of land returned to China.

Delegates of border guards from both countries further discussed the mechanism for regular exchange and key sections control.
