Ford: New General Manager in China

Ford Motor announced Friday the appointment of David Schoch the general manager in China, he will hold this position from 1 November.

Aged 60, David Schoch held several management positions since joining Ford in 1977. After passages in Canada, Mexico and South America, he has been responsible for strategic planning of the American manufacturer in Europe.

‘We have put in place a plan to expand aggressively in China’, said Joe Hinrichs, president of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa, finding that Schoch is the man for the job.

The group plans to open four new factories in China to support its program to launch 15 new vehicles in the country by 2015.
