Girl Rescued Alive 21 Hours After Train Accident

After the terrible train accident in China, Xiang Weiyi (项炜伊), a two-year-old girl has been rescued alive from the rubble. The official Xinhua news agency reported, citing a firefighter. Rescue forces discovered the girl unconscious when they were about to remove one end of the train. Her left foot was seriously injured in the accident.

“It’s just the miracle of life.” said Wang Yongping, the spokesman of Ministry of Railways. He also apologized to passengers and expressed his deep condolences to the families and friends of the casualties incurred in the tragic incident.

The rescue for the girl was about 21 hours after the collision of two trains, when the authority announced that there’s no signs of life inside in train. 35 people died including the parents of the saved girl, more than 200 others were injured.
