Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a U.S. company based in Stratford, Connecticut United States, will start production of the first four UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, of the 60 that Washington sold to Taipei in January 2010, announced yesterday the Pentagon in Washington.

60 helicopters are part of a sale of defense equipment in the amount of U.S.$ 6.4 billion authorized by the U.S. President, Barack Obama, in January 2010. In addition to Black Hawk helicopters, the sale included two frigates, Osprey class Coastal Mine Hunters, Patriot missiles PAC-III, 12 radio controlled missile systems and several military communication systems.
